SILENCER Introduce New Vocalist

January 19, 2005

Colorado metallers SILENCER are currently recording their full-length studio debut, tentatively due later in the year. An update on the recording sessions from the group's official web site follows:

"Many questions have come up with regards to our new album and who the vocalist on it is. Hired back in October, Patrick Russell (SERBERUS, CEPHALIC CARNAGE) sang on the record and has just a few more bits to finish and clean up. His blistering vocals show the next step in the evolution of the band's new aggressive, more structured sound. Originally hired as a full-time vocalist, personal obligations relayed to the band only very recently have relegated him only to be the session vocalist on the album. His contribution is still duly noted, and we think you'll agree when you hear the record. If you saw us at Deep Freeze you heard these vocals on a new track we debuted entitled 'The Harvest'."

The European edition of SILENCER's "Structures" EP, entitled "Found On The Sun", was released in October 2003 through Italy's Adrenaline Records. In addition to select "Black Flames & Burning Worlds" and "Kozmos" bonus cuts, the EP includes a brand new track, entitled "Apollocide", which features guitarist Dan Lynn.
